About: “Betono Fabrikas” is a herald building for the reimaging
of former soviet industrial area. The building is situated
in old industrial district of Vilnius. During soviet period
territory was entirely dedicated to making various
concrete elements for housing blocks that were widely
built around the country. After the fall of the Soviet
Union the area got abandoned and scattered, however,
most of its distinct character industrial buildings
remained untouched. “Betono Fabrikas” is the first
reconstruction of building, designed push out the re-
imagining of entire territory.
