About: Asymmetrical volume of Neris River House is oriented
to North-East, where the view of Neris river is, the
diagonal line also follows the direction of underground
infrastructure. Terrace and entrances are carved
asymmetrically into the main volume like screens that
invite to step by and navigate. Contrary to exterior,
interior spaces are designed to be functional and
regular. Horizontal architecture and screens are
highlighted through thin timber sidings that contrast
with shale tiles that emphasize solid volume.
Architecture of the house embodies its place and tells
the story of its interior.
