Serban Tiganas
Romania

Serban Tiganas is born and lives in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, Romania. After architectural studies in Bucharest he started his career by winning several competitions and working in different cities and teams. In 1997 he founded Dico and Tiganas, architecture and engineering, an interdisciplinary internationally awarded firm. Since 2001 he became activist for the profession in OAR, the Order of Architects, including two mandates of president, 2010 – 2018. He contributed internationally in ACE as board member and in UIA as council member and Secretary General. He is currently the dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the TU Cluj-Napoca.



Siiri Vallner
Estonia

Siiri Vallner is an Estonian architect. She founded her practice Kavakava after studying architecture and urban planning in Tallinn, Copenhagen and Washington DC. Her works are always related to the public sphere - public buildings, street renewal projects or urban visions. Her approach to architecture is site sensitive, sometimes unexpected or even provocative. Her best- known and most discussed projects are the Museum of Occupation, Narva College, The Creative Hub Kultuurikatel and Tallinn Main Street. Siiri Vallner also teaches at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Recently documentary, called “Local Urbanites” was made on her.



Ieva Zībārte
Latvia

Ieva Zībārte is an award-winning architect, writer and curator. Currently a voice of the New European Bauhaus initiative in Latvia, she is also a board member of the Association of Latvian Architects, as well as a member of the National Architecture Board at the Ministry of Culture and the Coin Design Committee at the Bank of Latvia. Her recent roles include being a member of the Theme Advisory Group for the new design of euro banknotes at the European Central Bank and working on the report Towards a Shared Culture of Architecture as a member of the OMC group coordinated by the European Commision. As the Head of Exhibitions at the National Library of Latvia and Zuzeum Art Centre, she has curated and directed numerous architecture, art, design and history exhibitions and led international teams of curators, researchers and designers.
