About: The goal of this project is to preserve the building´s
historical significance while incorporating modern design
elements and functionality to enhance the visitor
experience at the Kaunas City Museum. This includes
expanding public access areas and reorganizing the
layout of the first floor and basement. New stairs are
designed to connect the second floor to the attic. The
previously unused cold attic space will be transformed
into an exhibition area through the addition of a steel
and glass pavilion, allowing visitors to experience the
historic attic and its wooden structures.
