About: An active community of Pavilniai residents has a vision
to build new houses on the site of the old library, and
has initiated an architectural competition for this
purpose. We have proposed three houses which,
together with the courtyards between them, connect
the environment of Garsioji Street and the historical
centre of Pavilniai in the north with the newly created
public space in the interior of the quarter and the
collective gardens further south. The building consists
of separate single-gabled blocks housing different
functions to meet the needs of the community.
