About: The territory of the Kaunas fortress park in Aleksotas with
its protected forest and historical fort warehouses is
planned to be developed into a public city space, as a
connecting element between the neighboring districts that
will be heavily urbanized in the future.
The concept envisages organic development and enables a
flexible response to changes. Meanwhile interventions
allow the experiment to figure out which functions have
the potential to become permanent. Thus, the territory is
gradually changing towards a possible utopia. First
interventions were implemented using minimal resources.
