About: Courtyard is a multifunctional building located in a
densely populated commie block area, occupying an
abandoned concrete structure. The new complex replacing
the previously planned warehouse aims to become an
active meeting point in this monofunctionally planned
sleepy neighbourhood. Therefore an open public green
courtyard is formed at the heart of the building
surrounded by the wellness functions accommodated in
the high ceiling interior space. The concrete skeleton is
wrapped in galvanized steel outer skin. While the facades
that interact with visitors open up with warm timber
surfaces.
