About: The site from two sides is framed by a forest, so it was decided to plan an L-shape house volume in order to create a private courtyard formed along with the forest contour. The natural environment dictated that the facades of the house should be wide open to the forest, so glass partitions in direction of the forest seemed like an obvious decision. In the language of Japanese architecture the harmony with nature are very clearly emphasized so the ideas of moderation and minimalism guided us throughout the creative process the result of which is reflected in this project.
