About: The Nemunas Island Bridge-Plaza is a hybrid structure
that functions as both a bridge connecting areas divided
by a river and a public space where you can engage with
the city and its natural surroundings.
It is part of a wider masterplan, that together with the
upcoming Nemunas bridge will create an ensemble of
riverfront spaces and connect ex-riverport, ex-
industrial, and city centre riverbanks. The Bridge–Plaza
is a newly completed pedestrian bridge that links Kaunas
old city center with the iconic Nemunas Island Park.
